So as not to open each operation, the applied groove templates are visible right at the part — as a compact block of four sides. By it you can tell at a glance which groove is where.
What is shown
The block consists of four cells — by the sides of the part: top, bottom, left, right (each with its own icon). A cell shows:
- the number of the applied template — or a dash «-» if there is no template groove on this side;
- the template colour — the cell is filled with the template colour;
- the template name — in a tooltip on hover.
Why it is convenient
The number and colour match those of the template in the library, so identical grooves across the project read by colour, and on the part it is immediately visible which side is already processed and which is still empty.
A click opens the templates window
A click on the block opens the same template-application window as the «Grooving template» button (see the article «Applying a template to a part»). So right from the block you can change or add a template on the needed side.
What gets into the block
The block shows only grooves placed with a template. Grooves entered manually in the form do not get into this block — they are visible in the part's «Operations history» (see the subcategory «Grooving a part»).
