#169 A cutter can be taken out of auto-selection without switching it off 29.09.2026

A machine may carry a cutter that must not be used “by default”: it is meant only for the operations where it is named explicitly — in a template or in the operation itself. Until now such a cutter had to be switched off entirely, and then it disappeared from explicit selection as well. There was no middle ground between “always picked” and “does not exist”.

On the machine card, on the “Tools” tab, cutters now have a flag: “Excluded from tool auto-selection, must be named explicitly”. A flagged cutter stays operational and runs wherever it was assigned by hand, but the platform no longer picks it on its own when it looks for a tool by diameter, depth and radius. If a cutter is already assigned to an operation, auto-selection will not override it.

What the flag deliberately does not do: it is not “soft”. If it leaves an operation with no suitable cutter at all, the operation is not performed and an error is raised — the platform will not fall back to the flagged cutter just to get something done. The flag cannot be set on the main cutter: that one supplies the firm-wide default cutter diameter. The flag is available in the firm admin panel and in the production cabinet.

#168 Cutting map: waste is now labelled 29.09.2026

The cutting map used to draw parts and business leftovers only. The rest of the sheet stayed white — and a large piece of waste looked exactly like a business leftover: an empty zone with cuts along its edge. The customer saw “a whole piece of board” and expected it in the warehouse, where it was not.

Those zones are now labelled. Hover over the sheet and hatching appears over the empty areas with the size, the area and the reason the piece did not become a business leftover: it failed on X, on Y, on a side or on area. The ruler it is judged by is printed above the map as well — the minimum sizes and the minimum leftover area set by your firm. The highlight appears on hover so that permanent hatching does not drown out the layout itself. Strips narrower than 20 mm are not highlighted — those are saw cuts and trimming, not waste.

Waste is collected from two sources: pieces that the cutting run did produce but the material thresholds rejected, and sheet tails that were never produced at all and existed neither in the cutting commands nor on the map. The verdict on every piece is calculated by the same rules as on the server — down to the last digit.

#167 PRO100 import: the whole project as OBJ 29.09.2026

PRO100 now has a second import route. Until now a project could only be carried over through an Excel copy of the “Parts list” — as a flat list. The order creation screen now has a PRO100 button that takes the whole project exported to OBJ: the project opens as an assembled unit, with the position and rotation of every part. You can put the MTL file next to it — the material names come from there; a ZIP archive works too, the files will be found inside, including in nested folders. One project at a time, file size up to 128 MB.

The geometry yields panel parts with their dimensions and thickness, the part and unit names, the material from whichever material prevails on the faces, the edging (thin overlays on the sides of a part) and round bores. OBJ does not carry grooves, milling or arcs: it holds shape only, with no indication of what should cut it and how. Hardware is not carried over either. Materials and edging have to be matched against your catalogue before the order is created — the import warns about this every time.

The Excel copy has not gone anywhere: it stays for the cases where a plain flat parts list is what you need. OBJ is for the cases where the assembly itself matters. The format is still in testing — if a file did not open, send it to support and the format will be adapted. The details are in the new “PRO100” section of the help.

#166 A new import: the Cabinet Vision project (CVJ) 27.09.2026

A CABINET VISION button has appeared on the order creation screen — a separate import that takes the original .cvj project file. Nothing has to be exported from Cabinet Vision in addition. A ZIP archive can be chosen as well — the file will be found inside, including in a nested folder. One project at a time, up to 192 MB per file.

The file gives the parts with their sizes and their position in the assembly (the preview shows an assembled product rather than a row of blanks), the names of the cabinets and the parts, and the explicit CNC operations: linear and single drillings, joint grooves, arc cut-outs and the drillings for confirmat screws and dowels. The material arrives without a name — only the thickness is known from the file, so it is called "CABINET VISION · N mm" and has to be matched against your own catalogue before the order is created. There is no edging in the file, so assign it in the order. Milling is not transferred, while the fittings without an exact drilling rule and the operations outside the part are skipped and listed in the warnings.

The format is still in testing: if you see "Failed to read the CVJ", send the file to support and the format will be adapted. The details are in the new help section on Cabinet Vision.

#165 Import from SketchUp: a second plugin, GAVA 27.09.2026

DXF from SketchUp is now accepted not only from the ABF plugin: a file exported by the GAVA plugin is read in the same way. There is nothing to choose — the import recognises the plugin by the markers inside the file, and if one DXF carries the markers of both plugins, the ABF ones are used. Everything else works as before: parts, materials, edging, drillings and machining, the "Products" window and the 3D preview of the assembly before the order is created.

Part sizes are measured from the geometry rather than taken from the marker: a GAVA marker keeps the size to 0.1 mm only, so a 791.5 mm part would turn into 791.6 mm and the contour machining would no longer fit. The result has been checked against real files: the coordinates of the milling, the holes and the grooves, the materials and the edged sides match between GAVA and ABF.

If a GAVA marker cannot be recognised, the import says so plainly and asks you to send the file to support. The details are in the help article on the import from SketchUp.

#164 BAS / 1C exchange: the processor inside the program, goods, clients and orders 26.09.2026

That same loader now works as a bridge between BAS / 1C and the server: the processor in the accounting system talks only to it, and it is the program that goes out to the internet. A "BAS / 1C" button has appeared in the window header — it saves the exchange processor file that is built into the program and immediately explains how to connect it: open it in the accounting system, and take the address, the port and the token from the "Goods" tab. The processor no longer has to be handed out separately, and its version always matches the version of the program.

The program has gained tabs for the exchange. "Goods" keeps a local copy of the firm's item catalogue and price list, reconciles it with the server every 15 minutes and lets you fill in the 1C codes, prices, currency, visibility and your own name; there is an export to Excel and a step-by-step import with validation. Separately there are "Services", "Managers and points of sale" (which also hold the manufacturer aliases, for instance "KU" for SWISS KRONO) and "Clients". On "Clients" a manager signs in with their own email or phone, sees the firm's clients and their orders and can create a new order; the counterparties of the accounting system are matched automatically by phone and email, and the doubtful pairs can be handed over to artificial intelligence for matching.

The firm's orders are visible right inside the accounting system — a list with filters, sorting and counters, changing the status, the manager, the production date and the payment marks, cancelling, returning and archiving. The order card carries a detailed calculation: the total, materials, cutting, waste, services, edging and the cutting layout — and it now opens even for shipped orders, where the tab used to be empty. The CNC programs of an order are downloaded as an archive, and if there are none yet you are offered to put the order into the generation queue. An order can be tied to a document of the accounting system through the "1C order code" field.

Two things worth knowing in advance. While the program is switched off the exchange does not work — the processor does not go out to the internet by itself. And if a record shows "in the program queue", that is not an error: the operation is waiting for the connection and will go out on its own. The details are in the help section on the BAS / 1C exchange, 18 articles.

#163 The CNC file loader: folder comparison, 3D and speed 26.09.2026

The CNC file loader — the program that pulls the files of confirmed orders off the server on its own and lays them out into the machine folders — has been reworked considerably. The main new window is "Folder comparison": for every order you see what sits in the working folder and what actually arrived in the machine folder, with filters by number, name, client and status. From there you can delete several orders at once — in the source, in the destination or everywhere. The "Delete" button now really does remove the order files from the disk, and the order itself is marked so that it is not downloaded again on the next polling round.

In the order list the always-empty "Source" column has been replaced by "Order", "Client" and "Files", and the search works by number, name and client. The order card now carries a link and a QR code to the 3D view of the order, and a double click on a part opens its own 3D view. The main tab no longer shows a green "Running" while the server is not answering: a problem bar appears at the top, and the reasons for network failures are written in plain language — instead of an error stack you read a clear "Address not found, check the API address in the settings". If the server asks you to use a different address, the program shows it and offers a button that puts that address into the settings. The "?" button in the header opens the manual in the language of the interface.

A word on speed. Conversion is now started once per batch of files instead of once per file: an order of 150 labels goes through in about two minutes instead of twelve. The order folder is walked once per run rather than anew for every order — on 60 orders that is 0.8 seconds instead of 21. Lookups by file path got their indexes in the database. The full description of the program is a new help section of 27 articles: what to prepare before installing, the main window and every one of its tabs, the order files and conversion, the routes into machine folders, maintenance and a walk-through of the common errors.

#162 Admin panel: firm parameters, a warehouse summary and sheet material offcuts 20.09.2026

The firm parameters page has been rebuilt. There is now a search over the parameter name and value, folders have become buttons instead of a dropdown, parameters are shown as cards 20 per page, and the current value is visible right on the card — you no longer have to open it just to look. The categories table collapses.

The "Edge banding" folder now has a guide: a separate window with sections explaining step by step how the edge length is calculated and what its cost is made of.

The warehouse section has a new page, "Warehouse summary": board materials laid out by category, and four numbers in square metres for every product — how much is in stock, how much is expected, how much came in and how much was written off over the last six months. "Expected" means the open offcut return plans minus what has already been booked in, that is, the material that still has to come back from the shop floor. Totals are calculated both per category and for the whole firm, columns sort on a click on the header, and at the top there is a search by code and name plus a category filter.

Every material in the catalogue now has a "Reset cache" button: it re-reads the product data from the database. You need it when the product was edited but orders and the site still show the old data. The filters of "Sheet material offcuts" have been rebuilt — four statuses and multiple selection of cells — along with the "Plan vs fact offcuts" report. An overfilled storage cell can no longer be selected, and the material search now works both by code and by product identifier.

#161 CRM: cutting maps with cut playback and a rebuilt order list 20.09.2026

The cutting map window from the cabinet has arrived in the CRM. Maps are laid out in tabs by material and by sheet, the cut can be played back step by step, and the window opens from three places: from the order parts, from the group job and from the order control panel.

The order list has been rebuilt. The table is denser, the column widths are fixed so rows no longer drift apart, and the content is centred within the window. The status is shown as "[code] Name", the client and the manager as "[id] Name", the date is printed in short form with the full date in the tooltip. Renaming an order and changing its status update the row right away, and if the operation fails you get an error notification.

Subscription and host have been split apart in the payment block. A firm with its own host has two payment dates, and access is limited by the earlier one — a single line showed only one date and it stayed unclear what exactly had to be extended. Now "Subscription paid until" and "Host paid until" appear as separate lines in the profile header, in the firm settings and in the side menu. If you have no host of your own, the display is unchanged. The access rules have not been touched.

#160 Deleting an order in the cabinet now asks for an archiving reason 20.09.2026

An order deleted from the cabinet does not vanish — it goes to the archive. Now the reason goes with it: confirming the deletion opens a window whose title carries the order code, plus a field for the description.

The reason is mandatory — at least 10 characters, at most 500. A counter sits under the field: while the text is too short it shows how many characters are still missing, and the Archive button stays disabled. Changed your mind? Close the window and nothing happens to the order.

The reason stays with the order in the archive, so later it is clear why exactly it was removed and there is no need to ask the manager. If the server rejects the archiving, the cabinet shows the reason for the refusal in your language.
