A surface treatment can have compatibility rules — they limit how many treatments and where can be applied on one part. The rules are set by the firm for each treatment and trigger when marking a side in the table.
Three rules
- One treatment per side — a part's side can have only one such treatment. If the side is already taken, a second one cannot be put on it.
- Only on one side of the part — the treatment can be applied to only one of the sides. If it is on the front, the back is blocked (and vice versa).
- The only treatment on the part — the part can have only one such treatment at all, regardless of the side.
How it shows in the table
If a rule does not allow applying the treatment to a side, its checkbox becomes unavailable (inactive). This way you immediately see which sides are taken.
Removing a conflicting treatment
If a side already has a treatment that blocks applying a new one, instead of the checkbox the message «Treatment [id] name applied. Remove?» with a «Yes» button is shown. Clicking removes the previous treatment and frees the side — after that the needed one can be applied.
