Surface treatments

«Surface treatments» — what you do to a part after cutting, CNC and edge banding: varnishing, washing, painting, patination, template profile milling and so on. For each operation you create a service with a price, a photo, and a link to the equipment that performs it.

The price is set separately for the front and the back side of the part. You can also restrict the materials a treatment applies to — then the client's calculator will offer it only for the right boards.

To make sure incompatible treatments don't end up on the same part, there are three checkboxes: «only on one side of the part», «sole treatment on the part», «once per side». They tell the calculator which combinations to allow.

If your company has arranged an extension with us — a treatment can automatically add a corresponding CNC operation to the program (e.g. template front milling). The client picks the treatment in the order, and when programs are exported it is computed along the part contour automatically.

The section has two menu items: «Surface treatments» — your list of services with prices, and «Surface treatment types» — the reference of types (sanding, patination, painting, varnishing, milling).
