Edging is not only glue and tape, it is also labour: the machine, the operator, depreciation. The factory builds all of it into the per-metre service rate. In the order costing the band turns into money on the company's server — iFurn.pro sends the project and shows the ready result: the metreage in the summary and the total in the cart.
This section covers three things. The project summary: how many metres of band are really needed, by geometry and by billing length, broken down by sides and parts. The billing length: why you pay for more than the literal side length — the minimum size, the waste percentage, the joint allowance. And the order costing: what the edging part consists of (the edging service, edge processing, the band material) and how all of it lands in the «Total for everything» line with VAT.
It is important to understand the division of roles: the technologist builds the parts list, while the prices — the service metre price, the tape price, the processing rates — are set by the company in its catalog. The costing substitutes the company's current prices automatically. Knowing the components, the order can be deliberately made cheaper: remove surplus edging of hidden sides or replace an expensive tape with a more affordable one.
Before talking money, iFurn.pro shows the metreage. The «Project summary» tab has an «Edge banding» section — a table per order band: how much of it went into the project and on how many parts. What is in the table For …
