#518

A recessed handle is a grip profile milled right into the part's edge. It lets a front be opened without a surface-mounted handle (a profile handle, gola). It is one of the four edge processing types.

Where it is set

A recessed handle is set in the common edge processing form — for the needed side of the part (top, bottom, left, right) you choose the «Recessed handles» type. The general principle of the form is described in the article «Edge processing: types and common form».

Enabling at production

The type appears in the list only if recessed handles are enabled at the production by a separate switch. If it is off, a recessed handle cannot be chosen.

Choosing the handle

The needed handle profile is chosen as a ready variant from the production library in the «Processing» field — its shape and dimensions are built into the variant. A variant usually has a picture preview: a small image next to the field, opening enlarged on click.

Painting

If painting variants are set up for recessed handles at the production, a painting selection field appears after the handle is chosen — the color/finish of the milled-in profile.

Edge band

If the chosen handle implies banding, an additional «Edge band» field appears — it keeps only the bands that fit by height.

Applying

After choosing the handle (and, if needed, painting and an edge band), press «Apply» — the setting is saved for this side. Each side of the part can be processed separately.
