#496

The three remaining processing types — edge rounding (R), chamfering (F) and recessed handles (H) — are configured equally simply: a catalog variant with a picture. They differ in how they work with the band.

Rounding and chamfer: no band of their own

For rounding and chamfering iFurn.pro offers no separate band list: these processings change the edge profile, while the side's edging stays with the usual band dropdown in the part row. Pick a rounding or chamfer variant, hit «Apply» — the R or F letter appears by the side, the side's band untouched.

Recessed handles: a band by the variant's thresholds

A recessed handle is milled into the edge, and a catalog handle variant can have its own band requirements. If the variant provides for edging the handle, a separate band list appears under its selection — filtered by this variant's thresholds:

  • the minimum band width — a band narrower than the threshold is not shown;
  • the band thickness range — from and to, set in the variant.

The thresholds are set by the company when registering the handle variant in the catalog; the technologist sees a ready short list.

The variant's explicit band list

A processing variant in the catalog can also have a direct list of allowed bands. Then it takes priority: exactly those bands are shown, without threshold filtering.

The side's band and the processing's band are different things

The band in the part row covers the side's edge; the band in the processing window belongs to the processing itself (for example, edging a recessed handle). They are chosen independently and both go into the order data for production.

Bottom line

R and F — pick a variant and «Apply», no band needed. H — a handle variant plus, if provided, its own band from a list filtered by the variant's thresholds or set by the company explicitly.
