Besides the band, an end face can receive additional finishing: an angled cut for hidden joints, a chamfer, rounding instead of a sharp edge, or an inset handle right in the end face. All four types are set up in one “Edge processing” window and marked in the parts table with the Latin letters R, H, C and F.
The mechanics are the same: on a part side you choose the treatment type, then a specific variant from the factory catalogue — with a picture, so you can see the result. The cut has a second mode — custom, with a side, an offset and an angle from 5° to 45°.
The band for a treated end face is chosen by the user from a list that the system limits by geometry: for a custom cut, bands wider than the bevel length (part thickness minus offset, divided by the cosine of the angle) plus the factory’s technological allowance; for a standard cut and inset handles, bands that pass the thresholds of the selected catalogue variant; for rounding and chamfer, no band is selected.
This section covers the window and its indicators, a detailed look at the cut in both modes, and the band rules for rounding, chamfer and inset handles.
Additional edge finishing in iFurn.pro — rounding, inset handles, edge bevel, chamfer — is set up in a separate “Edge processing” window. Each type has a Latin indicator letter: R — edge rounding, H — inset handles, C — …
ReadThe edge cut (letter C) is the only processing in iFurn.pro with two modes: a ready-made variant from the company catalog or your own geometry. Switching is via the «Standard» / «Custom» radio buttons right in the «Edge …
ReadThe three remaining processing types — edge rounding (R), chamfering (F) and recessed handles (H) — are configured equally simply: a catalog variant with a picture. They differ in how they work with the band. Rounding a…
