A panel material in the catalog can be sold in four ways. Three of them are simple and intuitive: m², full sheet and half sheet. The fourth — combined cutting — is described in a separate article.

m² — payment by actual area

The client pays only for the area of parts that actually entered the project. The most beneficial option for the client, especially for small orders.

The minimum order for this sales type is 1 m²: even if the actual area of the parts is smaller, the client pays as for 1 m², not for the area of a full sheet.

Example: 1.8 m² of parts from a chipboard panel. Sheet 2750 × 1830 mm (5.03 m²). The client pays for 1.8 m² at the m² rate. The remaining 3.23 m² (cut-offs and the unused part of the sheet) stay at your factory’s stock — you use them in other orders.

When to use: retail orders of medium and small volume; materials where you want to accumulate remainders in your stock for later use.

Full sheet — the client pays for the whole sheet

Every sheet is paid for in full, even if the parts cover only a portion. The remainder of the sheet is delivered to the client together with the order (physically taken away).

Example: the same 1.8 m² of parts on a 5.03 m² sheet. The client pays for the full sheet — 5.03 m² at the sheet price. The sheet (with finished parts + cut-off) is shipped to the client as a whole.

When to use: large orders; materials for which you have no room to store cut-offs; «wholesale» clients ready to take the remainder.

Horizontal half sheet

The sheet is physically cut in half along the horizontal axis (the short side); the client pays for each used half as a separate unit. The other half stays with the client or the factory — depending on the setting.

Example: the order needs 60% of the sheet area. With «full sheet» the client pays for 100%. With «half sheet» they pay for two halves (which is 100% of the sheet), but if one half were enough, they would pay for 50%. At intermediate volumes — savings for the client.

When to use: large-format panels (e.g., 2800 × 2070) where the client often needs only a part; materials that are convenient to physically split in half.

Choosing the sales type on the client side

The material card defines which sales types are allowed:

  • Single type — the client sees only the price under this type, no choice.
  • Multiple types — a selector appears on the card. The client chooses what is more beneficial (m² for small volumes, sheet — for large).
