From the part card the employee can manually switch the status of the whole order without waiting for automatic transitions: flag the order as "problematic" (if a part cannot be made), as "shipment" (when packed), as "at the client" (when handed over). All these transitions are only available to employees — managers and regular users do not see them.
Setting the order as "Problematic"
When to use
- The part cannot be made for technical reasons (no needed machine, lacking tooling).
- Material defect at the cutting stage — a sheet with a flaw.
- Size mismatch: the customer specified what is not physically feasible.
- Operation conflict: one service blocks another (for example, not enough space for milling next to an already drilled hole).
How to do it
- On the order card find the "Problem" button.
- A "Describe the problem" field opens — enter a specific reason (for example, "Sheet with a diagonal crack, not suitable for milling").
- Confirm — the order moves to the "Problematic" status.
What happens
- The order is highlighted in red in the main CRM.
- The manager gets a notification and contacts the client for a decision (replace material, redo, cancel).
- The order timeline records the mark with the author and the reason text.
Setting "Shipment" (packed, waiting for the client)
When to use
All parts are assembled into pallets, the order is packed and physically ready for issue. It is an "intermediate" status between "ready to ship" and "at the client".
How to do it
In the order card header there is a button/dropdown with statuses. Pick "Shipment". The order moves to this status, the warehouse-placement date is recorded.
Setting "At the client" (issued)
When to use
The client has physically taken the order. This is the final status from the warehouse perspective.
How to do it
In the same status dropdown pick "At the client". After that:
- The order moves to this status.
- All offcuts bound to the order are automatically written off from the warehouse — the system understands they have left with the client.
- The hand-over date is recorded.
Who can change statuses
Only authenticated employees (signed in with the personal QR code). Regular users and unauthenticated visitors do not see these buttons. This is needed so that every status change is tied to a specific physical person for the audit.
What is recorded
An entry is created in the order timeline for every status change:
- The new status.
- The time of transition.
- The worker who made the transition.
- For "problematic" — the reason text.
The full status-change history with filters can be reviewed in the main iFurn.pro CRM.
Relation to automatic transitions
Manual status switching is always available, but many transitions happen automatically: for example, "Ready to ship" is set automatically when all services on all order parts are marked done (see "Part services"). Do not mark "Shipment" manually until you are sure the order is really ready and packed — otherwise it will confuse the assemblers.
