Sometimes a sheet has to physically stay in the firm's warehouse, but it has to be "reserved" for a specific client — for example, the client brought their own material for storage, or the manager promised exactly this piece to a client and does not want it spent on another order. For this there is offcut-to-client binding.
When to use
- Customer-supplied stock — the sheet belongs to the client, the firm only stores and processes it. Such an offcut does not enter the firm's accounting.
- Reservation for a future order — the client approved the sheet, the order is not yet placed, but the material must not be issued to others.
- Return from the client — the client brought back a previously issued sheet (for example, it did not fit by size).
Who can bind
The binding can be done by:
- Warehouse staff (with warehouse rights) — any offcut of their firm.
- Managers (role with manager access) — the same.
A regular user without the manager flag will not see this button and will get the message "This feature is only available to firm employees".
How to bind
- Open the offcut from the inventory screen.
- On the card find the "Client" block and tap edit.
- Start typing the client name — the suggestion list shows the clients of your firm.
- Pick the right client from the list — the binding is saved immediately.
How to remove the binding
The same way — open the field and either pick an empty value or clear the selection. The sheet becomes "shared" in the firm's stock again.
What changes after binding
- The client name appears on the offcut card.
- In material-suggestion lists for a new order, this sheet does not appear for other clients.
- In warehouse reports the sheet moves to the "reserved" / "customer-supplied" group.
- Physically the sheet stays in the same cell.
If the client is not in the suggestion list
The suggestion list only shows clients bound to your firm. If the client you need is not there, add them first in the main iFurn.pro CRM ("Clients" section), then come back to the portal.
