A production task is a group of orders combined for joint processing on a machine. Instead of cutting each order separately, the factory groups several orders with the same material into a single task — this reduces waste and speeds up production.
Two tabs of the section
- "Created production tasks" — list of already formed tasks. Filters: ID, status, date range. Actions: view details, disband the task.
- "Creation by materials" — list of orders grouped by material. Use checkboxes to select needed orders and press "To production".
How to create a task
- Open the "Creation by materials" tab.
- Select a material from the dropdown — the table is filtered.
- Mark with checkboxes the orders you want to combine.
- Press "To production" — a modal window opens.
- Choose action: "Create new task" (enter the name) or "Add to existing" (select from the list of tasks in the "Created" status).
- At the bottom of the window — service summary: cutting (linear m), straight and curved banding, drilling, joining, milling, grooving, trimming.
- Press "Create".
Task statuses
- Created (1) → can be moved to "In production (4)" or disbanded (-1).
- In production (4) → "Completed (5)" or returned to "Created (1)".
- Completed (5) → "Shipped (7)" or returned to "In production (4)".
Task details
Clicking on a task opens a page with full information:
- Info cards: order sum, date, number of orders, number of parts.
- List of orders in the task with the ability to remove an individual order.
- Calculation: materials, services, additional services, total.
- Print documents: order form, summary CNC report, cutting maps, packaging, labels, document package.
Disbanding
The "Disband" button deletes the task and returns its orders to the common pool. The orders themselves are not deleted — they become available again on the "Creation by materials" tab.
What's important to the factory admin
- Grouping by material is the main principle: one material → one machine run → fewer changeovers.
- The service summary in the modal helps assess workload: if total cutting exceeds shift capacity — better split into two tasks.
- The task status changes as a whole: all orders inside switch to the new status simultaneously.
