#443

The order status defines its place in the lifecycle — from creation to shipment or cancellation. Available card actions, list visibility, and automatic transitions all depend on the status.

Main route: 1 → ... → 7

  1. Status 1 "Draft" — the order has just been created; the manager adds materials and services. The order can still be deleted entirely.
  2. Status 2 "Confirmed" — the manager has agreed the order contents with the customer; payment is available.
  3. Status 3 "In production" — the order is handed to the factory; shift tasks are generated. Most card fields are locked.
  4. Status 4 "Cutting" — the cutting plan is built, panels are being cut.
  5. Status 5 "Processing" — edging, CNC, parts assembly.
  6. Status 6 "Packaging" — parts are being packed, the packaging document is generated.
  7. Status 7 "Ready to ship" — the order waits for the customer or courier. It can be moved to "Shipped" (status 9).

Final statuses

  • Status 8 "Cancelled" — the order is closed without fulfillment. Moving to this status requires confirmation. The order is moved to the "Cancelled" section.
  • Status 9 "Shipped" — the order is handed to the customer. It is moved to the "Shipped" section; returns and complaints are handled separately.

Transition rules

  • Forward transitions (1→2→3…) are usually done by the manager from the card or directly from the "Active orders" list.
  • Backward transitions (for example 3→2 to fix the contents) are allowed in limited cases. It is often easier to "Reset cache" in statuses 2–6.
  • 3→4→5→6 transitions can happen automatically when the corresponding workshop stage finishes.
  • From status 8 ("Cancelled") the order cannot be returned to work — you can only create a new order based on it.

What the factory admin should know

  • The status list is a factory reference. Names and order can be changed, but the numeric IDs (1–9) are hard-wired into the system logic.
  • Each transition can fire triggers: manager notifications, log entries, production task updates, accounting system sync.
  • For the "worker" role only a narrow set of transitions is available (for example, marking a stage as done). Full status changes are performed by the manager.
