Creating a new order

A new order is created right from «My orders» — above the orders table there are buttons for the different ways to start a project. After creation the order appears in the table with the status «in editing».

Creation methods

3D Constructor

Import of a finished project from 3D-Constructor 7.5 — a CAD program for designing, manufacturing and selling furniture, used by furniture designers. Clicking the button opens a dialog to choose the project file; parts, materials and fittings are added to the new order. More about the program — 3dfurnitures.net.

Basis

Import of a ready parts list from Basis-Furniture — the most common CAD tool for serial cabinet furniture. The button opens a project picker; parts, materials and hardware are loaded into the new order.

DXF from SketchUp

Importing the parts list from SketchUp in DXF format. Fits when you already have a finished 3D model in SketchUp — export the drawings to DXF and upload them here. More in «Import from other tools» → SketchUp.

Create project manually

If you want to start from an empty project and key the parts in by hand, click «Create project». A modal with a single field — the project title — opens. After confirmation the project page opens, where parts can be added manually or imported from an Excel file.

The system also supports many other imports — TopSolid, Blum, Excel, ready-made XML, etc. All methods are collected in the category «Import from other programs».

What happens after creation

  • The order appears in «My orders» with the status «in editing».
  • The project page opens.
  • A unique order code (e.g. tcT154Tm) and numeric ID are assigned.
  • The system automatically keeps the 10 latest project version checkpoints — in case you need to revert to an earlier state. The version number itself is not important; it is purely internal.

If the button is unavailable

Creation buttons are hidden or inactive in three cases:

  • The firm does not allow client editing. Orders are created by firm staff only — clients see ready orders.
  • You already have one order on the trial. Delete the existing one or pay the subscription.
  • No active firm. Go to «Firms» and click «Set active» on the firm. Details: «Switching firms and points of sale».
