«Side processing» is a template-tree category for cut-outs and shaped processing along a part's side. It applies both to ordinary parts and to glass.
Subcategories and templates
The category is split into subfolders, each with a variant for every one of the four sides (bottom, right, top, left):
- Parametric «smile» handle — a recessed «smile» handle along a side (bottom, right, top, left);
- U-shaped cut-out — a rectangular cut-out of a side;
- Outer arc — a convex arc along a side;
- Inner arc — a concave arc along a side.
Choosing the side
In the template form the side and the reference corner are chosen by pictures — eight «side from corner» options: left side from the bottom/top corner, top side from the left/right corner, right side from the top/bottom corner, bottom side from the left/right corner. Processing sizes are set by number fields.
How to apply
Open the templates window, choose «Side processing» on the left, the needed subfolder and template — fill the fields and press «Add». More about the form — in the article «Template form: how to fill it in». General about templates — in the article «CNC operation templates».
