PUR (polyurethane) is a glue of increased strength and water resistance. In iFurn.pro it is one of the «Edging type» options chosen on the order's material — and, if the company allows it, on an individual part.

PUR glue properties

  • Polyurethane base, reacts with air humidity. Once cured it does not remelt.
  • High strength — the joint withstands heavy loads.
  • Water-resistant. Suits wet rooms — kitchens, bathrooms, exterior doors.
  • The seam is thinner than EVA's and less visible.
  • Costs 2–3 times more than EVA. Requires a machine that supports PUR glue.

How PUR is set in iFurn.pro

In the material row open «Material settings» → «Edging type» and pick PUR. All parts of this material will be edged with PUR — a PUR badge appears on every part.

The PUR option is shown in the list only if it is enabled in the company's production parameters. If production has no PUR machine, the company does not enable this option — and it will not be in the list.

PUR on an individual part

If the company has enabled per-part type switching, PUR can be assigned selectively: for example, the material as a whole on EVA, while the worktop and fronts that live in the wet zone are switched to PUR via the part's action menu.

What is in the estimate

If the company has registered a separate «PUR edging» service with its own rate, it appears in the estimate for the parts with this type. If there is no such service, the edging goes at the common rate.

Bottom line

PUR in iFurn.pro is a value of the «Edging type» on the material or the part. Every edged side goes to production with a PUR mark — the machine operator knows to load polyurethane glue.
