When a material holds three hundred parts and all of them need the same band on the front edge, assigning it row by row is an hour of work. For that iFurn.pro has group processing: one form, one «Apply» click — and the band is set on the chosen sides of all the parts you need.

Where it opens

The material row (the header above its parts list) has a «Group processing of parts» button. Clicking it opens the «Group processing» window with three switches: Holes, Parts and Bands. For band assignment pick «Bands».

Whom to apply to: all or selected

The form has two coverage options:

  • «All parts in the material» — the change touches every part of this material.
  • «Selected parts» — only those ticked. The tick is set in the parts table next to the part number; the option becomes available when at least one part is ticked.

What to apply: sides and bands

Below are four rows for the part sides, each with its icon: Top, Bottom, Left, Right. Each side has:

  • A checkbox — whether to change this side. Sides without a tick are left untouched: whatever was on them stays.
  • A band dropdown — what to set: a specific band of the order in the format [width/thickness] name, or «No edging» to remove the band from this side on all covered parts.

The «Apply» button performs the change. The dimensions and costing of all affected parts are recalculated automatically.

Typical scenarios

  • A batch of fronts: tick only the fronts, pick «Selected parts», set a thick band on the one visible side.
  • The whole carcass in thin tape: «All parts in the material», tick all four sides, pick the 0.4 mm tape — one operation instead of hundreds.
  • Strip the band off the back edges: tick the «Bottom» side, pick «No edging», apply to all parts.

Worth knowing

  • The group form works within one material — each material has its own group processing button.
  • The band is set only on parts it suits by width (taking the technological margin into account) — unsuitable parts are silently skipped, so wrong assignments cannot happen.
  • The group operation has no separate «undo» button — but it can always be overridden by a new group operation with a different band or «No edging».
