The cutting card is a layout that shows how the order's parts are placed on the material sheets. CRM prints it with flexible settings: pick specific cards, the "cards only" mode or the full version, include CNC operations and the edging summary.

Where to open it

On the order card click "Cutting cards". The button appears when the order already has a calculated cutting layout. The card viewer opens, and the "Print cutting cards" window with the settings is called from it by the "Print cards" button.

Print modes

  • "Cutting cards only" — a compact mode that prints only the sheet layouts, without summary tables. Convenient for the operator at the saw.
    • Sub-option "Parts decoding" — every part on the card is labelled with its code or purpose.
  • Without the "Cards only" mode — the full document is printed: edging summary, statistics, sheets.

Print options

The "Print options" section in the settings window:

  • "Edging information, cutting card summary" — adds material and edging tables at the beginning of the document.
  • "CNC operations (statistics)" — a table of milling, drilling and groove operations for the order.
  • "Cutting cards" — a master checkbox that turns printing of all cards on or off at once.
  • "Parts decoding" — adds a table with part information to every card.

Below is the list of cards by material with individual checkboxes — you can disable the ones you do not need.

Worktop edge letters on the cards

On cutting cards, worktop edge letters are mirrored consistently with the part's flip on the card — the edging side label matches how the part will actually lie on the sheet.

Algorithm choice

At the top of the window, when several cutting engines are connected for the factory, an algorithm switch is available. Each algorithm packs parts differently — density, grain direction, number of cuts — so the same parts can give a different result on two algorithms.

How to print

  1. On the order card click "Cutting cards".
  2. Turn on the required mode: "Cards only" — for the workshop, full — for a report.
  3. In "Print options" tick what to show: edging, CNC, cards, decoding.
  4. If necessary clear the boxes of individual cards (for example, to print only a problematic material).
  5. Click "Send" — the document opens in a new tab.

If a cutting layout was edited manually, this is visible right on the printed forms: the order is automatically flagged with a large "ATTENTION! MANUAL CUTTING" banner — the shop immediately understands the layout is not machine-generated. After a full automatic recalculation of the map, the flag is removed automatically. Offcuts produced during manual cutting are also correctly labelled in the production export — you no longer need to label them by hand.

If no cutting card

If the printed document says "Cutting card is missing" — the cutting has not been calculated yet. Open the project in the configurator, run the cutting calculation (or click "Change cutting" on the order card) and then come back to printing.

What matters for the factory admin

  • The more cards and the more parts — the longer the printout. For production it makes sense to print without the summary and CNC statistics.
  • Cutting algorithms are configured on the service side — to connect an extra engine contact iFurn.pro support.
  • Part previews on the card are loaded from the API — on a slow connection the document may take time to open.

Blank origin and "rest without trimming"

The cutting map shows the blank origin (from the calculation marks), and for an untrimmed side a "rest without trimming" warning. Both labels are visible on screen and in print.

The cutting card viewer

The "Cutting cards" button sits in three places: on the order card, in the order control panel and in the group production job. All of them open the same window on top of the page; at the top it has a "Print cards" button and a close cross.

Material and sheet tabs

The upper row of tabs holds the materials (number, name and sheet count) plus the "Total" tab with the summary across all materials. The lower row holds the sheets of the selected material: "Sheet 1", "Sheet 2" and so on, with side arrows when there are many sheets. Stitched materials are marked with the word "Stitching".

Cutting playback

Under the sheet there is a "Cutting process" button — it expands the player that repeats the card step by step, in the order the saw cuts it. The button appears only when the sheet has a stream of cutting commands; otherwise a message is shown instead of the card saying it could not be built.

  • Transport buttons: to the start, one step back, play and pause, one step forward, to the end. Next to them are a slider and the "Step N / total" counter.
  • "Speed" — ×0.5, ×1, ×2, ×4.
  • "Video" — isometry: the saw travelling and the sheet being taken apart. It opens in a separate window that shows the cut length, the areas of parts, usable offcuts, scrap and losses, and the sheet utilisation percentage.

Every step is labelled: "Cut" and "Trim" with the size, "Rotate sheet 90°", "Part" with its number and size, "Usable offcut", "Scrap". An offcut that is not fit for use is marked "do not use". The step list is clickable — clicking a line rewinds the player to that step.
