The order archive is a separate CRM tab that holds unfinished drafts and cancelled orders. It is not deletion: the order stays in the database, you can open it, find it via filters and download it as a project ZIP file.
Which orders end up in the archive
- In editing — order drafts that were created but never sent to production. CRM keeps them in the archive so you can return to the project or delete it.
- Cancelled — the order was stopped before shipping (customer refusal, creation error, factory refusal). The cancellation date is stored in a separate field.
What you see in an archive row
Each row carries the basic information needed for quick search:
- ID — internal CRM order number.
- Name — what the customer or manager wrote into the project.
- Customer — the name of the ordering customer.
- Manager — the employee who handled the order.
- Status — final order status ("In editing" or "Cancelled").
Click the arrow on the right and the row expands to show: code, external code, order creation date, archive creation date, cancellation date and a "Download project" button.
Why the archive is useful
- A clean list of active orders. Completed and cancelled ones do not clutter the workspace.
- Customer history. If a customer returns a year later, you see all their past projects with dates and codes.
- Project backup. The ZIP contains the original project — you can open it and reuse it as a template for a new order.
- Audit and reconciliation. Accounting and managers can review the cancellation history and the reasons for losses.
What the factory admin should know
- An order ends up in the archive when it stays in the "In editing" status (a draft never sent to production) or upon cancellation — no setup needed.
- Archive creation date is the moment CRM moved the order to the archive, not the order creation date itself.
- The ZIP download goes through
/archiveproject/download/{code}and works only while the project file still exists on the server. - If the project file is removed from storage, the "Download project" button will stop returning data — this is normal for very old orders.
