Section in the admin panel: Warehouse → Sheet material stock (URL: /admin/goods_stock.php).

What this is

Current sheet stock in the warehouse per material: how many whole sheets, how many offcuts, in which cells.

Columns

  • Product article
  • Name
  • Whole sheets
  • Offcuts (in m²)
  • Storage cell
  • Last update
  • User who changed

Actions

  • Incoming — receipt of a batch. Fill in the product, quantity, batch price. An "incoming movement" is created.
  • Manual write-off — for corrections (for example after an inventory count).
  • Cell transfer — change of `cell_id` without a quantity change.
  • Change history — all movements for the product (who, when, what).

Automatic movements

Besides manual operations, the stock decreases automatically on:

  • Launching an order to production (reservation).
  • Confirming the release of finished goods.

What matters

  • Stock accuracy is critical — without it the plan vs. fact breaks down, and orders in production may "hang" because of a shortage.
  • Reconcile stock regularly (once a month).
  • Offcuts are counted by area (m²) — if you have half a sheet left after cutting, it goes into "offcuts" automatically.

Stock statuses

Above the filters there are four switches that split the stock by state:

  • Available — on the stock and not attached to any order. This is what can be put to work. The default mode.
  • Reserved — on the stock, but already attached to an order.
  • Written off — gone from the stock: into an order, into a sale or by a write-off.
  • All — no filter by state.

Filters and cells

The material is found by autocomplete: type the code or a part of the name. Next to it are the «Cell» filter, «Receipt from» and «Receipt to», «Issue from» and «Issue to», «Owner», «Length», «Width», «Receipt by order»; once an order is selected, «Order status» and «Client in the order» are added.

Several cells can be selected at once — each is added as a chip and applied by the «Filter» button. For the applied cells a «Cell load» block is shown above: a ring with the average fill percentage and a line «Stock items in the selected cells». An extra chip is removed by its cross.

Below the filters there is a total for the current selection: how many stock items and pieces it holds, their volume in m³ and weight in kg.

Warehouse overview

The links at the top open the summary pages. «Warehouse overview» shows the sheet materials grouped by category and, for every item, four numbers in m²:

  • In stock — what lies there now.
  • Expected — what still has to come back under the open offcut return plans of the last 6 months, minus what has already been received for the same orders.
  • Receipts for 6 months — what arrived at the stock over half a year.
  • Write-offs for 6 months — what left the stock over half a year.

The same four numbers are totalled per category and for the whole firm — in the cards at the top; next to a category you also see how many items it holds. A category can be collapsed, and the table inside can be sorted by clicking a column header. At the top there is the «Code or name» search and the category selector. Only sheet materials that are cut and only your own firm's stock get into the overview.
