In the admin panel: Customer sales points.

What this is

Binding customers to their "home" sales point. When you have several showrooms/branches and each has its own pool of customers, it is convenient to record "this customer is usually served by the Central showroom" — this affects order routing, search and reports by manager.

What you see

A table of your firm's customers. Each row contains:

  • Customer (name / company)
  • Phone
  • Email
  • External code (if you have an accounting system integration)
  • Dropdown "Sales point" — choice among the firm's active addresses that have the "Sales" type (see Customer sales points).

At the top — a search field by name / phone / email / external code. At the bottom — pagination. The data is loaded via AJAX, so a list of thousands of customers is paginated quickly.

How it works

You open the dropdown on the desired row and pick a point — the choice is saved immediately (there is no "Save" button). Changed your mind — pick another one. Want to remove the binding — pick the empty value.

The same operations are also available via the API — convenient for automatic assignment from external systems.

Why bind customers

  • A specific showroom's manager sees "their" customers first.
  • Sales reports can be sliced by point — to see which branch is stronger.
  • In mailings you can send news only to customers of a specific point.

What matters

  • The points in the dropdown come from the firm's addresses (the Customer sales points section) with the "Sales" type set. If your dropdown is empty — first set the "Sales" flag on the relevant addresses.
  • Binding a customer to a point is not a restriction: the customer can still place an order through any of the firm's points.
  • Access — only own firm.
