In the admin panel: Customer sales points.
What this is
The register of physical addresses of your firm — all the points where you do something: take an order, dispatch the finished goods, manufacture, perform trimming. One address may have several roles at the same time (for example "sales + dispatch" in the same showroom).
Address fields
- Name — a short name of the point (for example "Central showroom" or "Warehouse at Brovky"). Multilanguage supported.
- Address — physical address (street, building, landmark).
- Phone, Phone (1), Phone (2) — up to three contact numbers.
- Email — for notification letters for this point.
Types (several may be set)
- Sales — the point serves customers: takes an order, consults. The list of choices when placing an order is assembled from these points.
- Dispatch — the point from which the customer picks up the finished order (self-collection).
- Production — where parts are actually cut, edged etc. Used by logistics and the payroll module (binding workers to an address).
- Trimming only — a narrowly specialised point (for example, a small branch can only saw the customer's material).
List and filters
The main page contains a table: id, name, address, phones, email, firm, types (checkboxes), actions. Above — filter by firm (for those who work with several firms) and pagination. A sales point cannot be deleted if it is the only one: the system always keeps at least one address per firm.
Where it is used
- When placing an order, the customer chooses a sales point and a dispatch point from the "active" addresses.
- In the "Customer sales points" section every customer can be assigned a preferred point from this list (the section uses only addresses with type "Sales").
- In printed forms and customer letters the contacts of the corresponding point are substituted.
What matters
- A point that has no type at all is invisible to everyone — do not forget to set at least one.
- Production addresses are worth creating even if you have a single workshop — printed delivery notes will then contain the exact address for delivering the workpiece for cutting.
- Access — only own firm.
