The «Orders» tab has two different deletions. They look similar, but the result is the opposite: one removes the order for good, the other is for downloading it again.
«Delete» — remove the order and stop downloading it
The delete button asks for confirmation, after which the program:
- deletes the order files in the working folder;
- deletes the files of this order in the destination folders — by its own records of what it copied and where;
- marks the order as removed, keeping a record of it in the database together with the relevance date.
After that the order is neither downloaded nor copied: when polling the server the program sees that the date has not changed and skips it. If the order is rebuilt on the server, the date will become fresher — the order will arrive again, and the mark will be removed by itself.
«Delete locally» — in order to download it again
An item of the context menu (right mouse button on the order line). The program deletes the files from the disk and marks the order for downloading again. On the next cycle it will be downloaded again — if the server still hands it over in the list to download.
This is what is needed when the order files are damaged, were not converted or were accidentally deleted by hand.
What else there is in the context menu
- Open the order folder — opens the folder in Explorer;
- Copy the order number — to the clipboard;
- Copy the order to… — select a folder and copy all the files of the order there by hand;
- History — all the events of the order: downloaded, rebuilt, deleted and so on;
- Details — the order card, the same as a double click on the line.
If a file is not deleted
The typical reason is that the file is busy: it is open in Explorer, in a viewer or in machine software. Such a deletion will get onto the «Issues» tab, where it can be repeated after the application has been closed.
Mass deletion
When you have to sort out not one order but a lot of them at once, the «Folder comparison» window is more convenient: there any number of lines can be selected and you choose where to delete — in the source, in the destination or everywhere.
