Full reset and moving to another computer

A reset returns the program to the state of a «clean» installation: the settings and the rules stay, while the history of downloaded orders is erased. The operation is irreversible, the program does not make a backup copy.

The «Reset all» button

It is on the «Home» tab. A window opens with a choice of three variants:

  • The database only — the order history is erased, the files on the disk stay. After that they will become «ownerless» — the cleanup will pick them up.
  • The database and the order files — plus the orders working folder is deleted entirely.
  • And the destination folders — plus the contents of every destination folder from the routes are deleted.

The third variant is the most dangerous: the folder on the machine is cleaned entirely, together with whatever other programs or people put there. Before choosing it, look at what is in the destinations in the «Folder comparison» window.

After you press it, the program will ask once more. Long operations run with a progress indicator.

What the reset does not touch

  • the settings file;
  • the routes file;
  • the file with the number of days;
  • the program itself and its files;
  • the logs.

That is why right after a reset the program is fully operational: on the nearest cycle it will download the orders for the stated period again.

If orders are not downloaded after the reset

  1. Check that the key and the server address are still in the settings.
  2. Check the internet access from this computer.
  3. Look at the log — the reason for the refusal will be there.

Moving to another computer

The easiest way is to download the archive from the admin panel again and unpack it on the new computer: the key and the server address are already written into it. Then you have to move what was configured by hand:

  1. Close the program on the old computer.
  2. Copy the routes file and the file with the number of days.
  3. If you want to keep the order history, copy the database file as well (it is next to the program, the .db extension). Without it the program will start from a clean slate and download the orders again.
  4. On the new computer check the orders working folder and the paths in the routes: the letters of the network drives may differ on another machine.
  5. Start the program and press «Check now».

It is not a good idea to work with the same key from two computers at once: both will download the same orders and lay them out into their own folders.
