Any work in your account begins with creating a project. A project is your future order: a set of parts, materials, edging, and CNC operations, with a calculated price and lead time.
How to create a project
- Open the personal cabinet of the selected firm.
- On the main page, above the orders list, click the "Create project" button.
- In the dialog that appears, enter a name for the project — choose something easy to recognize later when looking up the order in the list. Up to 50 characters.
- Click "Create". A new project opens with four ways to start: upload a previously saved file (.zip or .ifp); import a project from another online service or software; take an existing material and edge from the firm's catalogue; or create your own client material or edge (only if the needed one is not in the firm's range).
What to do in a new project right away
Immediately after creation, the project is empty and not yet saved to the server. The next steps (flexible order):
- Pick materials — choose particle board, MDF, glass, or any other material from the factory's catalog.
- Fill in the parts list — enter the dimensions and quantities of parts, or upload a ready list from a file.
- Assign edging to the edges of the parts.
- Add CNC operations — holes, grooves, milling.
When the project appears in the orders list
The project appears in your account's orders list immediately after you click "Create" — you'll see its name, creation date, and "Draft" status. The contents of the project (parts, materials, operations) are stored only in your browser until you save for the first time.
Click "Save" in the project header to push the entered data to the server so it becomes available from other devices. Until then, the browser automatically keeps a copy of your changes so nothing is lost if you accidentally close the tab (see Browser autosave).
If there is no "Create project" button
- Make sure you are signed in — the button only appears after login.
- If the factory has disabled self-service project creation, a new project can only be set up through your manager. Contact the factory; they will send you a link to a ready project that you can open in your account.
