For a group to affect parts, they need to be assigned to it. The assignment is set on the part itself in the detailing.
Where to assign
In the detailing, a part has a «Material and product» selector — two drop-downs. The first sets the material, the second — the product (group) the part belongs to.
Choosing a group
The second list offers:
- «no group» — the part is not in any group (default);
- one of the created groups — the part belongs to it and is affected by that group's quantity.
The list contains the groups created on the «Groups» tab (see the article «Groups: creating, quantity, deleting»). If there are no groups yet, create them there first.
Filter by group
In the detailing, parts can be filtered by product: the «Product» filter offers «All», «no group» and each separate group. This way it is convenient to show only the parts of the needed product.
