The groove report is a printed summary of all the grooves of the order, handy for the shop: where and which groove to make and on which parts. The report is generated in the browser and opened from the print menu in the cart.
How it is grouped
The report is grouped by the groove's parameters — its width and depth: for each «width + depth» pair a separate block is output (its heading reads «Groove (Width …, Depth …)»). Within a block the grooves are split by material: a material subheading precedes the rows. A row is a specific groove (side, offset, diagram) with the list of parts on which it is made.
What is in a row
For each groove the row shows:
- the reference side and offset — from which side (top, bottom, left, right) and at what distance (in mm) the groove runs;
- the part side — where the groove is: the face, the back or an edge (top, bottom, left, right);
- the groove type — open or closed;
- a diagram — an image of the groove;
- the parts — a list of parts with number, name and sizes (length × width × thickness).
The grooves themselves and groove templates are set when working with a part. The list of all order documents for printing — in the article «Printing order documents».
