A label is a sticker with codes that is put on a part. By the code the part is quickly identified at production and at packing.

What is on the label

For each part a label is printed with codes and brief information about it:

  • the part number in the project;
  • the material;
  • the sizes;
  • the edge by sides;
  • a brief list of operations;
  • a QR code — contains the identifier of the part, helps to quickly recognize it at production and at packing;
  • a barcode (Code 128) with the program code for the CNC machine — printed for parts with machine operations (boring, grooves, milling, recesses).

The barcode with the program code is scanned at the CNC machine to load the machining program of exactly this part. If the part has no machine operations, the barcode is not printed.

Labels of offcuts

Together with the part labels, labels of usable offcuts are produced — one for each offcut from the cutting map. Such a label carries the offcut size, the material and a QR code: it leads to this offcut so that it can be taken into the warehouse and found later.

Number per sheet

Before printing, the «Labels print» window opens with the choice «Choose the number per sheet»: 1, 8 or 32 labels per sheet — to fit the sticker format. The «Send» button forms the sheet of labels for printing.

What about boxes

There is no separate label for a box. In the packaging editor the «Print (PDF)» button forms the packing document — the list of boxes with sizes, the number of layers and parts, gross and net weight, and the list of parts per box. There is no QR code of the box contents in it.
