Setting up straight edging in iFurn.pro means working with the part's four sides right in the parts table row. The band is set in place; additional edge processing, if needed, is configured in a separate window. No tabs and no «Save» buttons — every choice applies instantly.
The band: in the part row
Each side (Top / Bottom / Left / Right — with its own icon) has a band dropdown:
- «No edging» — leave the edge bare.
- The order's bands in the format
[width/thickness] name— for example,[36/0.4] PVC white gloss.
The list filters automatically: only bands suiting the board's thickness by width remain, and with «matching band» mode — only those pre-matched to the board. A fifth dropdown with the all-sides icon sets the band on all four sides in one choice.
Indicators by the side
||— the side is edged with pre-jointing (the standard mode for straight edging).- A letter R, H, C or F — the side has edge processing assigned: rounding, a recessed handle, a mitre cut or a chamfer. Clicking the letter opens the processing window.
The glue type: a badge on the part
The glue method (EVA / PUR / laser) is not chosen on the side — it is the «Edging type» set in the material settings and inherited by the part. It shows as a badge on the part; if the company enabled per-part switching, the badge in the action menu is clickable.
Edge processing: a separate window
Rounding, recessed handles, mitre cuts and chamfers are configured not in the row but in the «Edge processing» window (the icon in the part row or a click on the processing letter). Inside, per side: a «Processing type» from the company's variants, the specific variant with a picture, for the cut — a «Custom» mode with a 5°–45° angle, an offset and the operation side, plus an «Apply» button.
What happens automatically
- Every choice is saved at once — there is no separate button.
- Overall and net sizes are recalculated with the bands' thickness on the sides.
- The costing updates: metres of band and the edging service at the company's rates.
What iFurn.pro does not have
- No «Band / Dimensions / Assembly» tabs — the band is in the row, the processing in one window.
- No internal band codes in the table — everywhere the name with width and thickness.
- No glue method choice on the side — the type is set on the material.
Bottom line
Straight edging is assembled on two levels: the band — instantly in the part row, the fine edge setup — in the processing window. Four independent sides, «apply to all» for typical parts, automatic recalculation of sizes and price.
