When sheet material is counted in whole sheets, the client pays for the whole sheet — even if there are fewer parts on it than it can hold. The business leftover of such a sheet can be given to the client: for this the material row has a «Leftovers to the client» toggle.
When available
The toggle appears only for materials counted by sheets or by half-sheets. With the by-area (m²) calculation the client pays only for the actual area of the parts, so there is no leftover to give out.
What is shown
The business leftovers of the sheet are shown alongside — their sizes and quantity. So it is clear what exactly the client will get if the giveout is enabled.
How it affects things
- on — the business leftover of the sheet is given to the client together with the order (they paid for the whole sheet);
- off — the leftover stays with the firm (goes to the leftovers stock for future orders).
The toggle does not affect the order cost. The unit being charged — a whole sheet or the chosen half — is paid for in full either way, and the checkbox only decides whose the offcut is. It determines the label and the QR code of the offcut, its type on the cutting map, the line in the order blank — «hand over to the client» or «return to the warehouse» — and the warehouse accounting.
