Every sheet received on the warehouse gets its own label with a QR code. This is the slip placed on the physical sheet or stuck to the side of a stack. All other warehouse operations then work via this QR: moving between cells, write-offs, returns, binding to an order.
What is on the label
- Internal offcut ID — a short numeric identifier. Useful in search and when contacting support: "I have a question about offcut #12345".
- Material name and its external code (as set in the firm's catalogue).
- Dimensions X × Y in millimetres + the computed area in m².
- Receipt date, the receiving worker's surname and the firm that owns the offcut.
- QR code — the machine-readable offcut identifier. One scan with the phone camera → the portal opens the matching operation.
- Bindings: the order and/or client, if they were set on receipt.
Where the label appears
Right after a successful receipt (see "Receiving sheet stock" or "Returning an offcut via QR") the portal opens a page with "Print offcut #N" buttons. Tapping opens a ready printable layout in a new window — send it to the label printer or a regular A-format printer.
If the label is lost or damaged
The offcut itself does not disappear from the database — its internal ID remains. The label can be reprinted at any moment from the main iFurn.pro site (the "Warehouse" section in the admin panel). The QR portal has no reprint command on purpose, to avoid mass uncontrolled duplication.
What to do with the QR code next
- For inventory — scan to view/change the cell. See "Inventory".
- For issuing — scan to write off from the warehouse.
- For returning to the warehouse — scan to send it back.
- For laying out order pallets — scan to record the position of finished goods on the warehouse. See "Orders and pallets".
If the QR does not scan
Check the print quality: with a heavily worn or creased label the camera may not recognise it. Type the internal offcut ID by hand into the scan field (it is on every warehouse section) — this is an alternative way to open the same offcut without the camera.
