From the part card you can generate a ready CNC program for the cutting machine in one tap. The program takes into account the part layout on the sheets, the tool, allowances and the operation sequence. It is useful for those standing at the machine who do not want to export the program manually from the main CRM.
How to do it
- Open the part card or the whole order.
- In the order menu find the "Cutting program" link (or similar — the name can differ slightly depending on the firm setup).
- The portal requests the program generation (usually takes 2–10 seconds).
- When the program is ready, a page with a "Download" link opens. A click saves the file to the device.
The program format
The file format is determined by the machine type of your firm. It can be G-code (.nc, .gcode), a specific machine manufacturer's format or an archive with multiple files. The exact format is configured in the main CRM on the firm's machine card — the portal just hands out what the generation service returned.
What to do with the file
- Copy it onto a USB flash drive and plug it into the machine (the classic way).
- Load it into the machine software over the network (if the machine is connected to the local network).
- Print it on paper as a cutting map (if you cut manually).
What is generated automatically
- The most recent version of the order project is used — every client and manager edit at the moment of generation is taken into account.
- The firm's machine settings are taken into account — allowances, tool, feed rate.
- If the order has problematic parts or open edits, the program is still generated, but in the main CRM these problems should be resolved before sending it to the machine.
If generation returns an error
An "Program generation error" message appears. Possible reasons:
- The order has no parts that can be sent to cutting (for example, only assembly without cutting).
- The machine parameters for the firm are not configured — contact the CRM administrator.
- The generation service is temporarily unavailable — retry in a minute.
When not to use this button
If something has to be manually adjusted in the order layout (for example, moving a part, changing a tool), do it in the main CRM before generation. In the QR portal the program is always generated from the latest saved version with no ability to edit.
