The "Inventory" section is the main working screen of the warehouse keeper. All routine actions on offcuts already received on the warehouse are done from it: viewing, moving to another cell, writing off on issue, returning back on a mistake, locking to a specific client. The main principle is one scan plus one tap.
Where it is
Portal home menu → the "Inventory" button. Visible to every worker with warehouse rights, and to users with extended access to QR features. If the button is not there, contact the administrator.
How to open an offcut card
At the top of the screen there is an auto-focused input field. It receives the QR scan result (the scanner button in the header) or you can type the short offcut ID from the label by hand. The field also understands two more code formats:
- Direct ID — the number from the label (for example,
12345). - Short code from the label of an already received piece.
- QR of the nesting map — code from the form of a part that has not yet been received (opens the receipt form, see the dedicated article).
What you will see on the card
- Material name and its code.
- Dimensions X × Y and the computed area.
- Current storage cell.
- Receipt date and the worker who took it in.
- Bindings — the order and/or client, if there are any.
- Action buttons — "Move", "Write off", "Bind client". What is available depends on your rights.
What you can do
- Moving an offcut to another cell — when the sheet was physically moved.
- Write-off and return — on client issue or on a mistaken issue.
- Client binding — reserving the sheet for a specific client without physical issue.
What is logged automatically
Every action done in this section is bound to you by the personal QR code (the one you signed in with) and to the precise operation time. This creates a full audit trail — who, what and when. It is impossible to forge or bypass this logging via the interface.
If the offcut is not in the system
If the scan opens a "No offcut" error, the QR most likely belongs to a sheet that has not yet been received on the warehouse. Perform the receipt and try again.
If there is no access
The "You do not have access to this offcut" message means the sheet belongs to a firm you have no rights to (for instance, a foreign subcontractor firm). This is normal protection — contact a worker of that firm.
