Additional edge finishing in iFurn.pro — rounding, inset handles, edge bevel, chamfer — is set up in a separate “Edge processing” window. Each type has a Latin indicator letter: R — edge rounding, H — inset handles, C — edge bevel, F — chamfer.
How to open
The window is available from several places:
- the “Edge processing” icon in the part row of the parts table (shown if the factory has enabled edge processing);
- a click on the treatment letter next to a side, if finishing is already assigned;
- in the part editor — the “Edge processing” item in the operations menu;
- batch processing from the order header — assign finishing to several parts at once;
- inside the through-recess form — for end faces inside the recess.
Window structure
The part sides are shown as a row of four tabs — Top, Bottom, Left, Right: select a tab and you see the fields of that side only. A side with already saved processing is highlighted green; one with unsaved changes is marked with a dot. If there is not enough room below, the window opens above the icon and gets its own scroll bar. In each tab:
- “Processing type” — the list contains only the types for which the factory has variants in the catalogue. No chamfer variants — no “Chamfer” item.
- Specific variant — a drop-down list of variants of the selected type; next to it the picture of the selected variant from the catalogue is shown.
- “Apply” — the check-mark button appears after a change and saves the setting of this side.
The edge bevel additionally has a “Standard / Custom” choice with its own fields (see the separate article), and some treatments have their own band list.
Saving and closing
A side is saved only with the “Apply” button; each side is applied separately, and the window stays open afterwards — you can move on to the next tab. A click outside the window or the Esc key closes it without saving: everything that was not applied is lost, so before closing make sure no tab is marked with a dot. Choosing a band in the list and the hint picture do not close the window.
Indicators in the table
- In full mode, the letter of the assigned treatment (R, H, C, F) is shown next to the side’s band list — clicking it opens the window.
- The “Edge processing” icon in the part row is highlighted green when processing on the part is already saved — no need to open the window just to check.
- In quick mode, enable “Edge processing in brief mode” in the table settings — a second row of side icons with letters appears under the band fields.
- A red letter signals an error: the bevel variant has an invalid angle (see the article on the edge bevel).
If a variant has disappeared from the catalogue
When the factory removes a treatment variant from the catalogue while it is still assigned to a side, the window marks the treatment as unavailable and offers to remove it from the side in one action.
What the factory enables
The availability of the window and its types is set by the factory in the admin panel: firm settings → the “Edge processing” folder. It contains the master switch “Enable edge processing” and separate switches per type: “Enable edge milling” (rounding), “Enable edge bevel”, “Enable inset handles”, “Enable part chamfer processing”. The treatment variants themselves, their pictures and linked bands are loaded by the factory via the External API (edge_edit methods). While the master switch is off, the icons and letters are not shown in the table.
Bottom line
One window, four types, per side: type → variant with a picture → “Apply”. Type availability is defined by the factory’s catalogue and settings, and the letters R/H/C/F in the table show the state and work as a shortcut to reopen the window.
