A ready 3D part model can either be exported as a file for external CAD/CAM software, or sent as a link without logging into newgo — for example, to an installer or a customer.

DXF export

The download button in the 3D view toolbar exports an archive with two independent DXF files:

  • A flat 2D file — a front projection of the part with all machining by layer (plate, drilling, grooves, pockets, milling, cuts).
  • A 3D solid file — the actual assembled model as triangles: the part body and edge bands.

Format — standard DXF, compatible with most external CAD/CAM programs. The button is unavailable until the 3D model is ready to display.

Public 3D link (Share)

The "Share 3D" button first saves the current project, then opens a window with a QR code and a link to the part's public page.

Features of the public page:

  • Opens in any browser, including mobile, with no login to newgo and no password.
  • Shows only the part's geometry: dimensions, operations, edge banding. There are no DXF export or "share again" buttons on it; order data, prices, and customer information are not available.
  • The link is long-lived — it doesn't "expire" during production and installation, and can be printed on the part's label or forwarded via messenger.
  • The page's language adapts to the order's language or the recipient's browser language.

Practical use: show the part in 3D on a tablet or phone right on the shop floor or at the installation site (scan the QR from the label — see the part with all its machining), agree on a part with the customer via a single link instead of sending screenshots, quickly visually confirm on the production floor that the correct part is on the table.

360° video clip in the archive

Along with the DXF files, the archive includes a short mp4 clip: the part makes a full turn around the vertical axis — the recipient sees it from all sides more clearly than on a set of projections. The clip is recorded in high resolution and is suitable for sending to the customer in a messenger.

If the browser does not support video recording, the archive arrives without the clip — the reason is shown in the button tooltip and in a text file inside the archive.
