Packaging document — a printed sheet for every package of the order: list of parts, their quantity, dimensions and total weight. Used at the warehouse during shipment and by the customer at delivery.
When the document is needed
The packaging document accompanies every cargo unit. The packer uses it to verify the contents of the package, the storekeeper accepts the goods for shipment by it, and the customer checks completeness at delivery.
Where the button is
In "Active orders" open the order card and click "Packaging". A window with the document form settings will open.
Document settings
The window offers five parameters — each one is toggled with a separate checkbox:
- "Packages" — print the list of all packages of the order.
- "Package containers" — breakdown by containers inside each package.
- "Parts inside the package" — list of parts per package with quantities.
- "Parts" — overall list of parts with dimensions.
- "Part positions" — exact placement of the part inside the package (for large boxes).
Any combination is allowed — for example only "Packages" and "Parts inside the package" for a short waybill.
What appears in the document
Order number, date, customer, total number of packages and total weight in kilograms. For every package — its number, dimensions (length × width × height, mm), weight (kg), list of parts with quantities. If VAT is enabled, the total amount is shown including tax.
How to print
After choosing the settings click "Print" — the document opens in a new browser tab. Then use Ctrl+P or the browser's print menu. The document is formatted for A4.
If there are no packages in the project
If CRM shows the message "No packages in the project", packages have not been built yet. Open the project in the configurator, go to the packaging section and generate the packages automatically or build them manually. Once saved, the packaging document becomes available.
What matters for the factory admin
Check that VAT and weight units are set correctly in the company settings — they are inserted into the document automatically. Explain to the packers which checkboxes to enable by default: for most factories "Packages" + "Parts inside the package" is enough. For large orders with multi-unit shipment also enable "Part positions" so the customer can quickly find the right part.
