The Products button opens a panel listing the products of the order. The heading shows the word Products and their count. Each row has a checkbox, the name and the number of parts in that product.

Showing what you need

  • A click on the name leaves that single product in the scene.
  • The checkboxes show several products together.
  • Show all clears the ticks and brings the whole order back.

Editing products — only on the import pages

The Merge, Rename and Delete buttons exist only in the edit mode, and that mode is switched on by the import pages. When you simply view an order these buttons are absent.

  • Merge works when two or more products are ticked. A name field appears: Enter applies, Esc cancels. The ticked products become one.
  • Rename is available with exactly one tick — the same name field.
  • Delete removes the ticked products together with their parts. It takes two clicks: the first turns the button into “Delete?” with the count, the second does it. You cannot delete by accident with a single click.

The edits go into the import data, not just into the picture: the scene is rebuilt at once and the order will be saved with the new names.

The hint under the panel heading changes with the mode and always says what is available right now.

When two products share a name

The assembly instructions and the PDF tell products apart by their internal number, not by name. Two different products with the same name are therefore assembled separately: each gets its own steps, its own assembly drawing and its own sheets in the document.

The panel and the filter, however, work by name: one tick marks both such products at once, and a click on the name shows both. Give the products different names so you can tell them apart by eye — the assembly and the PDF are no longer affected.
