If the company catalog lacks the needed band, the client can register their own — right into the project. This is the «client's own band»: a tape that is not in the company's common catalog but is needed in this very order.
Where to open it
On the project's start screen there is a «Client material» button. It opens the «Client material/band» window — a single form for both your own board and your own band. The hint under the button warns directly: use the option only if you are sure the needed band is not in the company's range.
Choosing «Band»
The first field is «Material type»: «Board material» or «Band». Pick «Band» — the form reshapes for a tape, and the length is set automatically to a service value (a tape is counted by the running metre, a separate length is not needed).
The band fields
- «Band type» — from the company's materials tree (the bands section).
- «Producer» — from the company's directory.
- «Band name» — how the tape will be labeled in the project.
- «Enter the material description» — free text (optional).
- «Sale type» — for a band a single option is available (running metre).
- «Width» and «Thickness» — the tape thickness is limited to the 0.4–2.0 mm range, like ordinary bands.
- «External code (optional)» — for linking with the accounting system.
The «Currency» and «Price» fields appear when the tape is not consigned (the consigned material has its own article). The «Add» button enters the band into the order.
What to understand
Your own band exists only in the current order — it does not enter the company's common catalog. It is a one-off item «for this project», not a range addition (which the company manager handles).
Bottom line
The «Client material» button → «Material type: Band» → width, thickness, name → «Add». The tape lands in the order and is then picked on part sides like any other. Use it when the needed tape really is not in the company catalog.
