Which glue methods are available in orders — EVA, PUR, laser — is determined by the company through its production parameters. The technologist sees the finished result: the «Edging type» list in the material settings and the badges on the parts. Here is what stands behind that list.

The company's production parameters

The company's production settings have switches for each method: whether EVA is available, whether PUR is available, whether laser edging is enabled. The enabled methods appear in the «Edging type» list; the disabled ones simply do not exist for this company's clients.

A separate parameter is the permission to change the edging type on an individual part. If it is on, the EVA/PUR/LAZER badge on the part becomes a switch; if off, the part's type is strictly inherited from the material.

The logic is simple

  • Only an EVA machine — the company enables EVA alone, and the «which type» question never arises in orders.
  • PUR equipment exists — PUR is enabled, and clients can order a water-resistant seam.
  • A laser line is bought — LAZER is enabled, a premium offering appears.

Bands in the catalog

Edge bands are registered in the company catalog separately: name, width, thickness, optionally color and links to boards for the «matching band» mode. There is no «this band is EVA-only» binding in the catalog — the band and the edging type are chosen independently: the band answers for the material and look of the edge, the type for the gluing technology.

Edging services

In the service catalog the company registers the edging service: one common, or split by method — «EVA edging», «PUR edging», «laser edging», each with its own per-metre rate. That is how the cost difference between the methods reaches the client's estimate.

Bottom line

Glue methods in iFurn.pro are the company's configuration area: the production parameters define the available types, the service catalog — their price. The technologist picks the type from the ready list on the material, and with the option enabled — on the part as well.
