Import from Bazis-Furniture Maker 11 and 12 into iFurn.pro is implemented through a dedicated script-plugin installed in the "Scripts - Import/Export" menu of Bazis. This is the classic way to transfer a furniture project with parts, edge banding and operations.
The method works for any project created in Bazis-Furniture Maker 11/12 and supports automatic replacement of project materials with materials from your iFurn.pro database.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1. Download the script
- On the main order page in iFurn.pro open the "Extra functions" menu.
- Pick the "Bazis" section.
- Download the script to your computer.
Step 2. Install the script in Bazis
- Open the folder where Bazis-Furniture Maker is installed (typically
C:\Program Files\Basis\). - Find the "Scripts - Import/Export" subfolder inside the Bazis install.
- Copy the downloaded script into that folder.
- Pick the version that matches your Bazis-Furniture Maker: the script for version 11 differs from the one for version 12.
Step 3. Export the project from Bazis
- Launch Bazis-Furniture Maker.
- Open the project you need.
- Open the "Scripts - Import/Export" menu and pick the iFurn.proPro script.
- Tune the export options if needed. For "Hardware processing", for example, pick "No" if you do not need drillings for hardware mounting.
- Click "Export".
- Choose where to save the file and what to call it, then click "Save".
Step 4. Upload into iFurn.pro
- Open iFurn.pro.
- Open the "Add" menu and pick "Project import".
- Locate the saved file and click "Upload".
- If the order already has materials picked, you can swap project materials for those used in the order right inside the import dialog.
The result is a complete parts list with all drillings, routing and edge banding ready to go.
What carries over
- Parts with exact dimensions (cut size and overall size), with the part's designation from the Basis project
- Edge banding by side (T/B/L/R) with thickness
- Drillings - coordinates, depth, diameter
- Face and edge routing - without losing a millimeter on the contour step; the part's overall size and contour are kept consistent with each other
- Grooves - including arc-shaped ones (repeated grooves are no longer duplicated) and rebates (no longer confused with an edge groove); cuts and chamfered edges carry over correctly
- Materials (with the option to replace them during import)
What this method cannot do
- Import the .b3d/.b11/.b12 file directly - the format is closed and requires the script export. If you try to upload a .b11 file the system will show an error suggesting the script.
- Transfer hardware as objects - only mounting drillings carry over. Hardware itself is added from the iFurn.pro catalog.
- Preserve 3D visualization - only the production geometry is transferred.
Common issues
- "The iFurn.proPro script is not visible in the Bazis menu"
- Check that the script file is placed in the "Scripts - Import/Export" subfolder, not somewhere else. Restart Bazis.
- "File will not upload to iFurn.pro"
- Check the file size (10 MB limit). For very large projects disable hardware processing export - that shrinks the file.
- "Materials did not match"
- In the import dialog pick a material from your company database manually, or click "Create new" - the material will be added to the iFurn.pro catalog.
- "Script version is out of date"
- Download a fresh script before each import - Bazis updates its API from time to time and the iFurn.proPro script is synced accordingly.

Exporter plugin version check
During import the system checks the exporter plugin version. If the export was made with an outdated script, a warning appears with a link to the current version (separately for Basis 8–10 and 11+). The import is not interrupted — you can update the plugin or continue. Keep the plugin up to date so that all features transfer correctly.
Only the new script and the JSON format
The former .project export format for Basis is no longer accepted. Upload such a file and the import stops and tells you what to do: download the new exporter script from the import page. It writes JSON.
- The script is downloaded straight from the import page — the version there is always current.
- The project is uploaded on a separate import page: in your account or in the CRM for managers.
- Before it goes into an order you see the assembly in 3D and the list of products.
A file saved by Basis itself rather than by our script will not do either: the system will ask you to convert the project with the script first.
