The second half of an invisible seam is a tape that matches the board's decor. iFurn.pro helps avoid mistakes with two tools: the tape's color in the catalog and the «matching» mode, which leaves only verified pairs in the list.

Where the tape color lives

The color is part of the tape's catalog record. The technologist sees it in the name in the dropdown ([36/0.4] PVC white gloss), and if the company manager assigned the tape a color, in the quick band mode the side's field is painted with it — the bands read across the table at a glance.

The «Band usage» mode

In «Material settings» there is a «Band usage» switch with two positions:

  • «Any» — the side's list offers all tapes whose width suits the board's thickness.
  • «Matching only» — the list keeps only the tapes the company manager pre-linked to this board as color pairs.

Why the «Matching only» mode exists

Picking «by eye» from the name works while there are a dozen decors. With hundreds, the company needs catalog discipline: the manager matches each board with its «native» tapes once — and the «Matching only» mode guarantees the client physically cannot pick a foreign one. Mismatched pairs never occur, and there is nothing to argue about «the wrong shade».

What the technologist sees

There is no difference in the interface — the same dropdown on the side. The contents change: with «Matching only» the list is short and safe, with «Any» it is full (but still filtered by tape width against board thickness).

If the needed pair is missing

The «tape ↔ board» links are configured by the company manager. If a board lacks its «native» tape, that is a request to the manager: add the tape to the catalog and link it to the board. Or temporarily switch «Band usage» to «Any» and pick manually.

Bottom line

The tape's color lives in its catalog record; the discipline of pairs lives in the «Matching only» mode. Together with the «Glue type» on the material this yields a predictable, invisible seam without a single manual compatibility check.
