Cutting and pricing are the moment of truth for any order: how much material will be used and how much it will cost. The service does both instantly and transparently down to the last cent — while your competitor is still on the calculator, you are already quoting the customer a price and a lead time.

Automatic nesting that saves material

The service lays the parts out on the sheets so as to leave less waste and shows the cutting map straight away. Don’t like the layout — adjust it by hand. See “Automatic nesting and the cutting map”, “Manual nesting editor” and the whole section “Cutting map”.

Offcuts are put to use too: the system feeds warehouse and customer remainders into the nesting, saving whole sheets. See “Using remainders in cutting” and the section “Material remainders”.

Material is sold the way that suits you

Four sale types for panel material are supported — by m², by sheet, by half-sheet and combined cutting. The customer pays for exactly what they took. See “Simple sale types: m², sheet, half-sheet”, “Combined cutting of panel material”, the section “4 sale types for panel material” and “What the material card shows”.

Pricing — transparent, down to the cent

The cost is assembled by line items, and each one is visible separately: materials and the calculation method, sawing according to the cutting map, edging, CNC operations, edge machining and painting. The price of each service is its rate multiplied by the quantity, and it recalculates instantly with any change to the project. All of this is in the article “Cart contents and the final cost”: materials and the calculation method, where edging turns into money, company services and edge machining and painting. Who gets the offcuts — the customer or the company — is decided in the same cart, but it does not change the total: “Remainders for the customer”.

Services: standard, additional and free-form

Cutting, edging and CNC are calculated automatically. On top of them, three more kinds of services can be added to an order: additional services for the order — the company’s own services for the whole order (delivery, assembly, carrying upstairs), each with its own calculation logic (by the number of parts, by volume in m³ or a fixed sum) and a price in any currency; additional services for a part — bound to specific parts; and free-form services — a free line item not in the catalogue: you type the description and price right into the order. In detail — “Additional services” and “Additional goods and services for the order”. Ready-made goods and fittings are added separately — “Goods and fittings”.

Packaging is calculated and goes into the estimate

The service calculates the packaging cost itself, box by box — with dimensions, weight and consumables — and feeds the total into the cart. See “Packaging in the cart”, “Packaging cost and consumables” and “Packaging editor”.

Multi-currency and personalised prices for the customer

You price each material and each service in any currency, and the order is calculated in the chosen settlement currency — the system converts it by the exchange rate itself. See “Settlement currency”. For a specific customer you can set personalised (addressed) prices, discounts and manual corrections — the calculation applies them automatically: “Discounts and cost corrections”. VAT is accounted for according to your rules — “VAT in the calculation”.

Production lead time — auto-calculated, plus urgency

The service calculates the lead time itself — taking into account the current production load, working days and holidays — so you quote the customer a date you can stand behind. See “Production lead time”. Need it faster — urgent or combined calculation kicks in: “Urgent and combined calculation”. All cost and discount settings are gathered in the section “Cost and discounts”.

The bottom line: you see the final price and lead time at once, and the customer gets a clear estimate broken down by line items — it can be printed right away (“Printing order documents”) and sent into production.
