Paired parts (the right and left side of a cabinet, the right and left door) are usually mirror images: the dimensions are the same, but edge banding and CNC operations sit on opposite sides. newgo supports copying a part with automatic mirroring.
Types of copying
- Plain copy
- Creates an exact copy of the part — all fields, edge banding and operations transfer unchanged. Useful for parts that differ only in name.
- Horizontal-mirror copy
- All left/right sides swap places: edge banding from the left edge moves to the right, CNC operations are reflected by the X coordinate. Used for right/left pairs.
- Vertical-mirror copy
- Top/bottom swap: edge banding on top moves to the bottom, Y coordinates of operations are reflected. Used for top/bottom pairs.
After copying, the new part is given a new name by default — the operator can set their own. Depending on the factory settings, the copy may instead keep the original name.
