Admin panel section: Users → User roles (URL: /admin/user_role.php).
What it is
A role is a set of permissions (access to admin sections and specific actions). One role is assigned to each user. You define roles to fit your team structure.
Typical roles
- Administrator — full access to all sections except iFurn.pro owner sections.
- Manager — orders, clients, reports. No access to firm settings.
- Technologist — goods, services, treatments, templates. No access to finance.
- Warehouse — stock and intake only.
- Accountant — salary module, sales, reports.
Fields
- Name
- Required. Shown in the role select when assigning to a user.
- Description
- Optional. For your reference — what this role allows.
- Permissions
- Checkboxes per admin section. Each section can be opened for read/write/delete separately.
- Default
- Checkbox. If on — newly created users get this role automatically.
Actions
- Create role — set name, description, choose permissions.
- Edit — changes apply to all users with this role.
- Delete — you cannot delete a role with active users. Reassign them first.
What's important
- Permission changes apply to all role holders right after saving.
- If a user "lost access to a section" — check: maybe the corresponding checkbox is unchecked in their role.
- Your firm's roles are independent of other firms' roles. Names may match — these are different entities.
