Admin panel location: Services → Services.

What this is

A catalogue of production services your firm sells: cutting, edge banding, milling, drilling, assembly, packaging, delivery, etc. These are just services — there is no link to specific equipment here. The system calculates them automatically when they get applied to parts or orders: it takes their price, code, and unit of measure and plugs them into the cost calculation.

Service fields

  • №/id — internal service number. Handy for support requests.
  • Name — the service name as you call it in day-to-day work.
  • Unit — m², linear m, pcs., etc. from the units reference. The unit in which this service is measured at calculation time.
  • edge_type — link to an edge type. Filled in only for services tied to edging work (e.g. «PVC 0.4 edge banding»). Left empty for services unrelated to edging.
  • xnc — a category flag marking the service as a «production» one (milling/drilling/cutting). This is not a machine link; it is just a grouping/filtering attribute in the UI.
  • Description — your text about the service. Useful so managers and clients understand what is included.
  • type — service type from the service types reference.

Fields are edited directly in the table — click a cell, type a value, the change saves automatically.

Service card (edit page)

Clicking the edit icon in a row opens the service card. Apart from the main fields you get two additional tables here:

Service codes

Each service can have multiple code rows:

  • Firm — which firm this record applies to (relevant if you run several firms).
  • Code — your own service code. Used for integrations, accounting exports, invoices.
  • Price — the service price.
  • Currency — any currency from the currency reference. You can keep the same service priced in different currencies for different scenarios.

The «Create» button adds a new row for this service.

Aliases

A service can carry several aliases. This is useful when:

  • the same service is called differently in different documents;
  • a customer-facing export or an accounting export expects a specific name;
  • historically the service was known under another name and you want it to remain searchable.

The «Add» button creates a new alias for the service.

What this is not

This section is just the services catalogue. Links to other entities live in separate sections:

  • Services — equipment — which service runs on which machine. That mapping lives there, not in the service card.
  • Extra services for a part — what can be added to an individual part in an order. A separate reference that points back to services from here.
  • Extra services for an order — order-level services (delivery, assembly, packaging, etc.). Also a separate reference with no direct relation to this service card.

Recommendations

  • Use clear service names — both managers and clients see them in exports.
  • Set prices in the currency you actually deal in for the service. If you operate in several currencies, add several code rows.
  • Create aliases for services that carry a different name across your sales channels.
  • Don’t try to solve machine binding or per-part / per-order service assignment from this page — those have their own sections (see above).
