What it does
A rounded-over edge — a smooth arc instead of a flat chamfer. Used for hand-friendly edges (kids furniture, work surfaces, kitchen countertops). A 2–3 mm round-over also helps PVC edge-banding stick at the corners.

- 2–3 mm — slight softening, helps edge-banding adhesion.
- 5–8 mm — visible round-over, soft to the touch.
- 10–20 mm — large radius, «bullnose» countertops.

- Cost per linear meter of processed edge.
- Machine
- Pick the CNC carrying the matching round-over bit (one bit = one radius). R3, R5, R10 are standard on any edge bander. List the machines in Settings → Machine services and tick «rounding».
Rounding or chamfer?
- Rounding — no sharp angle (kids, kitchen, anything hand-facing).
- Chamfer — decorative angle, visually thinner board.
