Everything that is configured in the program is collected on a single tab. Changes are applied after the «Save settings» button — there is no need to restart the program.
Connection
- API key — the key of your firm. It is filled in automatically if the archive was downloaded from the admin panel.
- API address — the server address, ends with
/api/program. - Host name — how this computer introduces itself to the server. It gets into the label printing reports. If the program runs on several PCs, give them different names, otherwise you will not tell them apart in the reports.
- Interval (min) — how often to poll the server. Three minutes at the minimum; you cannot set less.
Paths
Orders folder — where the unpacked orders are placed, by default C:\orders. The «Browse» button opens the folder selection. The new path takes effect after saving; the orders already downloaded to the old path will not move by themselves — you have to move them by hand together with the database file, otherwise the program will consider them foreign.
Language
English, Ukrainian or Russian. After switching, the interface is rebuilt entirely — that takes a couple of seconds. The language also affects which article of the manual opens from the «?» button in the header.
Rules for copying into machine folders
The route table: from where, to where and by which method to copy the files. The «Add», «Edit» and «Delete» buttons edit them without editing the file by hand, and the «Compare folders» button opens the window for checking what has already been copied. Above the table there is a short hint about the two copying modes, about the fact that only files whose path contains the order number are copied, and that a file of the same size is not copied again.
Important: when the routes are edited from the window, the synchronize_folders.txt file is overwritten entirely, and your comments in it are not kept. If you need comments, edit the file in a text editor.
Miscellaneous
- Start polling at launch — the program starts working right away, without pressing «Start».
- Minimise the window at launch — the window goes to the taskbar. Convenient for a workshop computer.
The buttons at the bottom
- Save settings — writes everything into the
config_gui.txtfile and applies it right away. - Open the configuration file — opens the same file in a text editor. It has settings that are not in the window: for example, the path length limit and the path to the
time.txtfile.
What the program does not check
When saving, it does not object to an empty key or an empty address — you will see the error later, when you try to start the polling. The connection is not checked by a «test button» either: the check is «Check now» on «Home» and a look at the log.
