The HOMAG/MPR button on the order creation screen is a separate import. It accepts only .mpr files, but several at once: one MPR is one part, so the whole set is selected together. Archives and DXF are not accepted here.
What is read from the files
- The part size, its name from the file header and the barcode, if the file has one.
- Machining: boring, grooves, millings and pockets.
- Parametric values are evaluated: if the file says "l − 9" or "d/2" instead of a number, the platform substitutes the part size and works it out.
- Edging per part side — code and thickness. If it matches the catalogue, the catalogue edge is used; if not, it stays as a customer material.
What you have to pick yourself
The board material. The material name from the MPR header is read and displayed, but it is not matched against the catalogue: you choose the product in the matching wizard after the upload.
What this import does not do
- It does not assemble the product: MPR has no coordinates of a part inside an assembly, so the parts are laid out in a row. Assembly is DXF — the iMOS/DXF button.
- It does not carry hardware into the order.
- It does not accept DXF files.
If the file did not open
The answer "MPR size could not be determined" means the file header has no blank dimensions. Send the file to support and we will look into it.
