The CABINET VISION / CVJ button on the order creation screen is a separate import. It takes the original project file .cvj: nothing has to be exported from Cabinet Vision on top of that. A ZIP archive can be chosen as well — the CVJ file will be found inside it, including in a nested folder. One project at a time, file size up to 192 MB.
What is read from the file
- Parts with their sizes and their position in the assembly: the preview shows an assembled product, not a row of blanks.
- The names of the cabinets and of the parts from the project.
- Explicit CNC operations: drillings — line bores and single holes, joint grooves and arc pockets.
- Drillings for standard fasteners — confirmat and dowel.
What you have to do yourself
- Materials. Only the thickness comes out of CVJ, and the material is called "CABINET VISION · N mm". The import warns every time: the materials have to be matched against the catalogue before the order is created.
- Edging. It is not in the file — assign the edging in the order.
What this import does not do
- It does not transfer milling.
- Fittings for which no exact drilling rule was found are skipped and listed in the warnings.
- Operations whose coordinates fall outside the part are skipped, and their number is shown.
If the file did not open
The CVJ import is still under testing. The answer "The CVJ could not be read", with the stage named, means that the structure of the file differs from the known one — send that file to support and the format will be adapted.
