All the company's grooving templates are gathered in one place — in the template library. This is a window with a tree of categories on the left and template cards on the right: having chosen a category, the technologist sees the ready templates and applies the needed one to a part.

The tree of categories

Templates are grouped by machining type: corners, sides, planes, drilling templates, tabletop processing and grooving. The «Grooving templates» branch contains all the company's grooving templates. Until a category is chosen, the window prompts: «Choose a category from the list on the left».

Template cards

Inside a category each template is shown as a card with a preview and a name. A template is easy to recognise by its name and colour — the same name and colour are then visible on the part the template is applied to.

Search

If there are many templates, there is a search by name — it filters templates by the entered text right in the open category.

Where templates come from

Grooving templates get into the library in two ways: the technologist creates them right from the groove form (see the article «Creating a template from the groove form») or the company maintains them. The library is shared — a template registered once is available in all the company's orders.
